Wednesday evening the Wabash Valley basketball team traveled to Belleville, Illinois to take on Southwestern Illinois College in Great Rivers Athletic Conference action.
The Warriors won their second game in a row at the buzzer. Marcus Garrett was the key player in this win scoring the last five points. With less than 14 seconds left to play he would sink two free throws and then hit a 30 foot jumper at the buzzer for the final score of 86 to 83. The WVC improves now to 15-8 and 8-4 in the GRAC. They are tied for third place. The win over the Blue Storm snapped a seven game win streak for them at home.
