Wabash Valley wins big over Kaskaskia

Wabash Valley College Lady Warriors played in snow and sleet Thursday afternoon at the Paul Schnarre softball field and took two games from Kaskaskia College. Both games went five innings with WVC winning 14-1 and 11-0. WVC improves to 6-4 and 2-0 in the GRAC while Kas is now 3-5 and 2-2 in the conference.

First game it was Amanda Trampe in the circle as she picked up her third win of the season and is now 3-2. She gave up only three hits and had four stakeouts. Trampe also helped herself at the plate going 3-3 with a two run homer. Sarah Burnham was 2-2 with a double and Brooke Childress was 2-3 with 4 RBI's. Jessie Seiler and Courtney Norris were 2 for 2 with two RBI's. Rachael Conley for the Lady Blue Angels had a solo home run in the 1st and was 2 for 2 for the game.

Sarah Burnham picked up her third win of the season and is now 3-1. Burnham gave up four hits had seven strikeouts with only one walk. The Lady Warriors had only seven hits in the game but they belted three home runs. A solo homer by Burnham, and two run homer by Kelsey Maurer and a grand slam by Brooke Childress. Maurer was 2-3 with a double and four RBI's.
