On November 14th and 15th, the Wabash Valley College Bass Team had three teams at the JUCO National Championship in Oklahoma on Lake Eufaula.
The JUCO National Championship was a two day tournament, and the first ever national tournament at the JUCO level. Coach Todd Gill had three teams at the event. The three teams consisted of Caden Pearson and Richard Skiff, Hunter Russell and Sam Ausbrooks, Brogan Gregg and Peyton Rose. After day one, Pearson and Skiff were in second place with 13 lbs and 8 oz. Russell and Ausbrooks sat in third place with 12 lbs and 2 oz. Gregg and Rose sat in nineth place with 8 lbs and 7 oz.
On day two, Russell and Ausbrooks tallied 12 lbs and 3 oz, which put them in second place with a two day total of 24 lbs and 5 oz. After surpassing their teammates for second place, Pearson and Skiff brought in 9 lbs and 6 oz on day two for a total of 22 lbs and 14 oz. That total gave them a fifth place finish. Brogan Gregg and Peyton Rose finished up nineth with a two-day total of 17 lbs. and 4 oz.
