After starting the GRAC season 0-3, the Warriors have struck oil and have won five conference games in a row. Over the course of the five wins, Wabash Valley has used strong second halfs to pull away and secure wins. The Warriors are outscoring opponents 199-159 in the second half over the five game span. The Warriors are also 5-1 in their last six games. The lone loss was to #1 ranked Vincennes University, 69-60.
Wabash Valley used a double double performance by Khore Furlow to defeat Kaskaskia. Furlow paced the Warriors with 17 points and finished with 12 rebounds. Also scoring in double digits for the Warriors was Taj Ford with 16 points, Nazier Leonard added 14 points, Mohamed Diaby finished with 13 points, and Rafe Merriweather added 12 points. Rounding out the scoring for Wabash Valley was Byron McNeill and DeMario Spear with 4 points each. Tristan Yarde added 2 points.
The Warriors are on the road this coming Wednesday, February 4th at John A Logan. The next Warrior home game is Saturday, February 7th against Linconl Trail College.
