Wabash Valley baseball is starting to heat up, as they are on a six game win streak. Along with the win streak, the Warriors are 17-3 in their last 20 games.
Over the last six games, the Warriors are being led at the plate by Jack Scheri and AJ Malzone. Scheri, is hitting .529 over the last six games, while Malzone is hitting .523.
The Warriors have been leaning on the arm on Stone Silver, as Silver picked up three wins this past week. On April 7th, Silver picked up his fifth win of the season as he went six innings against Rend Lake. On April 10th, Silver made a relief apperance for the Warriors, and picked up the win. The relief appearance earned him win six on the season. Silver was able to pick up the third win of the week with four solid innings on April 12th, as the Warriors knocked off Lincoln Trail, 14-1. The win for Silver was his seventh on the year.
Wabash has outscored their opponents 59-21 over these six games.
The Warriors look to keep things rolling this week as they will host Kaskaskia on April 15th. Wabash Valley will also host Southeastern Illinois College on Thursday, April 17th. Both games are scheduled for 3pm. The Warriors will take to the road on Friday, April 18th for two games against Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, IL.
